Happy Autumn...gee where did the Summer go? I did get to spend some quality time with family and friends this Summer so that was nice.
NEWS FOR OCTOBER !!!!!!
I'll be performing in the new musical "The Countess of Storyville" for AMAS theatre October 17th and 18th with an all-star cast. I'm honored to be singing once again for the opening ceremonies for the Alzheimer's Memory Walk this year at Riverside Park October 23rd and I'll also be performing in "The Ladies of Cabaret" at the Laurie Beechman Theatre October 25th. My first film "Tracked" that I shot last year in the Bronx is having a screening this month as well. That takes care of October, more to come for November
I am So very excited to announce that I have just filmed a guest star role as "Debbie" in the new hit Stephen Speilberg series "Smash" on NBC. it was an amazing shoot day. Look for episodes to begin airing in January/February 2012 so keep your eye out for it. It's going to truly be a 'Smash".
Its been an amazingly busy year so far, with the closing of In The Heights, and my trip to Los Angeles for Pilot season things have really been busy. Still working towards my next Broadway show and more tv/film credits, but until then I'm keeping very busy with lots of Cabaret work in NYC as well
LA was amazing and I have just wrapped filming the role of Melda in the upcoming "Jack, Jules, Esther and Me, in the role of Melda and the role "Conchita De La Fuente" in a SAG webshort film called "Hooray For Love". I'll also be singing the theme song to the film as well. It's been such an incredibly fun shoot.
I've have also been honored as the winner of this years Cabaret Cares'/Help is on the Way Today "Spirit Award" for 2011. I'm so extremely touched and honored.
I'm currently in pre production on my new album "Alma Americana/Corazon Latina" An album filled with songs that have inspired me in both English and Spanish, along with a few originals as well.
