It's Spring, and I'm trying to stay as busy as possible.  Just letting you know of the few things I'll be up to this month.


June 13th performing "Ladies Night 3" at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, NYC with the talented Ilene Kristen, Kim Dunbar, Gillian Berkowitz, Robyn Lobe, and some special surprises


June 13th performing at the "George's Turn" benefit in White Plains NY


June 21/24th performing the role of Margarita Torres in the smash musical "Disenchanted" at the Cherry Lane Theatre


June 23rd performing in a staged reading of "Pushing Daisy" for the Planet Conectivity Festival


Come on out and enjoy some music and theatre this Spring/Summer

It's a brand new Year, the sadness of the show closing has dissapated, and I"m very excited about travelling to Los Angeles for Pilot Season, and the upcoming cabaret shows and readings I'll be doing.  I'll keep you updated on all the happenings soon.

]]> http://doreenmontalvo.com/blog.html/a_new_year Wed, 09 Feb 2011 13:36:05 -0800 Doreen Montalvo Homepage - Doreen Montalvo - Blog The final curtain draws near http://doreenmontalvo.com/blog.html/the_final_curtain_draws_near In the Heights, a show that I have had the beautiful honor of sharing in an 8 year journey with, will be playing it final performance at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Sunday January 9th, 2011.  Lin Manuel Miranda the show's Tony award winning Composer/Creator will be back to play the title role of Usnavi for the final two weeks.


It has been one of the most beautiful experiences of my life and this coming week November 12 - 17th I will be playing the role of Daniela in my final scheduled understudy in that role.  Please come on out and see this fabulous show.
